Es un lente zoom de alta velocidad con un motor AF RDX (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping drive), con soporte para el Sony’s Direct Manual Focus. Este objetivo pesa 550g/19.4oz y tiene una distancia de enfoque mínima de 19cm/7.5″. Vendrá sellado contra el polvo y la humedad y un revestimiento de flúor para evitar las marcas de dedos y aceite en los elementos frontales.
